This is a recent portrait commission. I never met the man and worked from an old photo supplied to me as I was unable to meet him because of lockdown. This is always a challenge as I usually take my own photos for portraits. However, there was something magical about this one. I can’t put it into words. It was as if his spirit was coming through somehow. It was a very emotional process and only now feels like the right time to share.
