The Hermit

As we were trying to sell our flat and leave London, times became more grim as it took so long to sell. Tottenham was the location of the start of the UK-wide riots in 2011. This a particularly grim area. Mattresses represent the homeless hostel where I was working at the time. The hermit still shines his light of hope. And the dog, Ronnie in this painting, is serene and determined to face the journey with bravery, unlike the Fool’s yapping dog.
